The default widget looks clean, but your customers should experience your brand — not a generic chatbot. The Widget Configuration panel gives you full control over appearance, identity, and behavior without writing a single line of code.
Branding settings
The branding section sets the assistant's identity. These values are injected directly into the system prompt so the assistant never refers to itself by the wrong name or describes your product inaccurately.
- Company name — the name your customers see and the name the assistant references in responses.
- Assistant name — the display name shown in the widget header and spoken in voice interactions.
- Product description — one sentence about what your product does, used to ground the assistant's context.
- Custom instructions — free-form additions to the system prompt: escalation policies, tone guidelines, disclaimers.
- Forbidden terms — words or phrases the assistant will never use, no matter what it finds in the knowledge base.
Appearance settings
Primary color controls the widget's accent color — used for the send button, active states, and highlights. Text color controls the text inside those accented areas. Set both to match your brand identity exactly using hex codes.
Conversation settings
- Greeting message — the first message the assistant sends when a user opens the widget.
- Default suggestions — up to 3 clickable suggestion chips shown to new users before they type.
- Header title — the title shown at the top of the widget panel.
- Auto-resolve — automatically close conversations after a configurable idle period, with a custom closing message.
Customization settings (branding, custom instructions, forbidden terms, and auto-resolve automation) are Pro features. Color and greeting message configuration are available on all plans.
